We believe that the younger members of our community are not just "the Church of tomorrow" but also "the Church of today."
Children and young people of primary school age have opportunities to prepare to receive the Sacraments of First Communion and Reconciliation, after which they can become altar servers, if they wish. If you enjoy singing, you could join the Youth Choir.
If you are at secondary school, you can also join in the activities organised by the Youth Group.
Those aged 13 or above can prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. If you are over 15 and have been Confirmed, you could be invited to train to become a Minister of Communion, and young people are very welcome to become readers.
We also welcome students from the local universities and colleges, including hosting occasional meals (in parishioners' homes) and other social events. Please introduce yourself and tell us how you would like to be involved in our parish community and how we can support you during your time in Winchester.
